Compared to the K1 set, K2 has been enriched with one additional upholstered panel and has nine elements. Thanks to this and the possibility of creating custom-made products, it becomes even easier to match presented wall panels to the interior. Harmony in the form of perfectly compatible upholstered panels, as well as their elegant finish, bring a sense of warmth to the arrangement of the apartment, and also increase its aesthetic impression. Therefore, in the case of this type of finishing elements, we can talk about a significant style and a delightful visual layer that adds colour to the space.
The presented K2 set will work both for mounting in the bedroom as a bed headboard, and as a decorative addition to the hallway or living room. In all of the above cases, upholstered panels will allow for soundproofing the rooms, which is important in the context of maintaining privacy. At the special request of our customers, it is possible to use additional options in production.
Materials used:
FURNITURE BOARD: A board about 7-8 mm thick, made of very fine wood fibers, compressed under high pressure and high temperature. Thanks to its parameters, the panel is rigid and durable and has good thermal and acoustic insulation. Its light weight makes it easy to mount on the wall.
UPHOLSTERY FOAM: High-quality anti-allergic foam. The properties of upholstery foam are: high sound absorption coefficient, good thermal insulation, elasticity and low weight.
UPHOLSTERY FABRIC: Please visit https://www.decotella.ie/product-page/fabric-samples to learn more about the fabrics that we use.
Additional Options:
Double Foam: A panel with a double foam is more convex and soft. Its acoustic and thermal insulation is also improved. This option is recommended, especially if the panels are to serve as: a soft headboard behind the bed, a seat (e.g. for alcoves) or if we want to achieve a visually greater spatial effect of the panels.
Velcro: This is the easiest way to mount upholstered panels. One side of the Velcro is permanently attached to the panel during production. The other side is loosely attached and glued to the wall after removing the protective tape. Velcro has a very strong adhesive, but not every surface is suitable for its use. A wall that is very dusty, poorly or not primed before painting, crooked (bulges and concavities) and rough excludes the use of Velcro. It should also be remembered that once glued to the surface, it loses its properties after being torn off.
Socket cutouts: In order to prepare such a panel, we need the exact dimensions of the socket location on the wall. Details on how to measure can be found here ➦ How to measure a hole for a socket?
